Your Mission

Are you ready to play a key role in transforming engineering solutions for reciprocating compressors worldwide? At HOERBIGER, we’re seeking a Global Compressor Engineer to join our international Service Engineering team. Together, we’ll tackle unique engineering challenges, define global standards, and provide cutting-edge solutions for our customers.
As a Global Compressor Engineer, you’ll collaborate with regional Service Engineering teams to deliver advanced calculations, simulations, and solutions for compressor projects. You will also contribute to shaping global engineering standards, processes, and tools, ensuring excellence in every project.

How you will make a difference

  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Work with an international team to develop solutions for a variety of reciprocating compressor projects, helping customers operate their equipment efficiently.
  • Advanced Simulations: Perform in-depth simulations like Finite Element Analysis, compressor studies, and torsional analysis to support local engineering projects.
  • Training & Standards: Provide training sessions, introduce new standards, and help streamline engineering processes to maintain top-tier quality across the organization.
  • Global Impact: Collaborate on creating new standards and procedures that influence our global engineering practices.

What you should be good at

  • Education: Master’s degree in any Engineering field, with knowledge of thermodynamics, materials science, or the design of heavy machinery.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid experience in Finite Element Simulations (preferably ANSYS).
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in compressors or related fields, such as Oil & Gas plant engineering.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for tackling diverse engineering tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in English to collaborate effectively with the international team and represent HOERBIGER to customers.
