Compression Reliability Engineer (REE)

Your Mission

As a Compression REE Engineer – Reliability, Efficiency, Environmental Soundness at HOERBIGER, you will lead technical evaluations and provide expert guidance to our customers, driving long-term cooperation and delivering tailored solutions that enhance their operational efficiency. Your mission is to combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic planning to develop and implement innovative solutions that align with customer needs and ROI expectations.

How you will make a difference

  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Perform around 12 detailed REE evaluations annually at customer sites, including refineries and plants, to assess and optimize their compressor systems.
  • Deliver Training: Provide both hands-on and theoretical training sessions to customers, ensuring they understand and can leverage HOERBIGER’s technological advancements.
  • Develop Customized Solutions: Create “Compressor Development Plans” that outline technical solutions, projected savings, and implementation timelines to meet customer ROI expectations.
  • Project Management: Oversee assigned projects, managing all aspects from scheduling and preparation to solution proposal development, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Enhance Processes: Contribute to the improvement of engineering processes and support their implementation, ensuring continuous enhancement of operational standards.
  • Traveling 60-70% 

What you should be good at

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of compressor components, operations, and maintenance, including repair scopes and applicable standards.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in creating and delivering technical content and presentations, both verbally and in written form, to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Abilities: Skilled in technical problem-solving using spreadsheets, word processing, and specialized engineering tools, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and over 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the compression industry. Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card is required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent team collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and advise internal and external stakeholders, fostering a cooperative environment.
