Your Mission

As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk at HOERBIGER, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials through our facility. Your mission is to manage shipping and receiving operations efficiently, perform essential system transactions, and contribute to a safe and compliant work environment. This role is essential to our operational success, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

How you will make a difference

  1. Efficiently manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials.
  2. Perform system transactions in SAP, including inventory updates and final completions of work orders, ensuring data integrity.
  3. Complete daily backlog schedules as directed by customer service, leads, or supervisors, contributing to seamless operations.
  4. Promote a culture of safety by reporting issues and adhering to safety procedures, ensuring a secure working environment.
  5. Maintain compliance with documentation and quality standards, reporting discrepancies to management for swift resolution.

What you should be good at

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in shipping and receiving, with a proven track record of managing material flow.
  • Technical Skills: SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge preferred, showcasing your ability to handle system transactions and documentation efficiently.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment, demonstrating resilience and strength.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of hand tools and a strong mechanical understanding to support operational tasks.
