Your Mission
Serve as the local Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the CNC programmers in all the segments (Valve, Polymer and Rings & Packings). The CAM engineer is an individual contributor who executes a mix of self-directed and management directed projects in support of local business needs and represents HCA on corporate global CAM initiatives. The CAM Engineer’s role is to study and analyze existing manufacturing (primarily machining) processes, develop, and maintain process definition, monitor and control the documentation for current processes, identify improvement potentials in current processes, determine possible solutions, drive the decision making, and implement improvements.

- Serve as SME for CNC Programming, maintaining personal and CNC Programmer Team proficiency
- Develop current practice standardizations
- Develop holistic next practice leading to best practice standardization
- Automate current, next and best practices
What you should be good at
- 4-year degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering with focus on CAM Programming (Can be substituted with relevant technical education/apprenticeship programs focused on CAM Programming and 5 years of on-job training creating CNC programs)
- Knowledge of machining (turning and milling) of metals and polymers
- Experience creating G-Code CNC programs, knowledge of M-codes
- Intermediate skill level with MS Excel – able to analyze data, VLOOKUP, Pivots
- Experience hands on machining and 3D drafting
