Your Mission
As a Warehouse Operator I (3rd Shift 10:00 pm- 6:00 am), you will support production by accurately receiving and allocating materials to internal departments, ensuring that the correct quantities are delivered to the specified locations at the designated times and dates, thereby contributing to the overall operational success and productivity of the organization.
How you will make a difference
- Ensuring Accuracy and Efficiency: By accurately counting and receiving products, you ensure that the inventory matches the purchase orders. This prevents discrepancies that could disrupt production and other operations.
- Keeping Accurate Inventory Records: By updating product availability in the SAP inventory management module and properly stocking and labeling products, you ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records, which are crucial for inventory planning and decision-making, while also maintaining an organized warehouse that facilitates easy location and efficient use of materials by internal departments.
- Minimizing Loss and Damage: Identifying missing, lost, or damaged materials helps to quickly address any issues, preventing potential production delays and financial losses.
- Supporting Internal Departments: By picking, preparing, and processing work orders for departments like production and assembly, you directly contribute to their smooth operation, ensuring they have the materials they need when they need them.
- Verifying Inventory Levels: Performing physical inventory counts helps to verify that the actual inventory matches the recorded data. This reduces the risk of stockouts or overstocking and helps in maintaining optimal inventory levels.
What you should be good at
• Experience and Technical Skills: You should have a high school diploma or GED, along with six months of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Inventory Management Software: Experience with SAP or other inventory management software is preferred. Being proficient in using these systems will help you manage inventory effectively.
• Forklift Operation: While having a forklift license is preferred, you must be able to certify within the first six months of hire. Being skilled in operating a forklift is essential for this role.
• Language Proficiency: You must have full proficiency in English (reading, writing, conversing). This is crucial for understanding instructions, communicating with colleagues, and documenting inventory.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, familiarity with email and various software programs.
What you can look forward to
- Career Stability: With over 130 years of industry leadership, HOERBIGER offers the security of a long-established company with a forward-looking vision.
