QSHE Manager (UK Based covering France & Italy)

Your Mission

  • Lead Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental performance across our UK, French and Italian businesses, creating consistent standards and a proactive improvement culture.
  • Protect our people, customers and operations by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, ISO standards and industry requirements.
  • Be the trusted Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental partner to local management teams, providing practical guidance, challenge and support.
  • Strengthen our management systems through effective risk management, auditing, investigations, training and continuous improvement.
  • You will be UK based working approximately 50% of your time for our UK site in Cheltenham, with the remaining 50% remotely (some limited travel) supporting our operations in France and Italy. 

How you will make a difference

  • Lead internal and external audits, maintain relevant certifications and coordinate the timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify and reduce workplace, environmental and operational risks through inspections, risk assessments, safety reviews and environmental evaluations.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, quality concerns and customer or supplier claims, using structured root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain clear policies, procedures, quality plans, compliance records and performance measures across all three countries.
  • Build capability and engagement by delivering inductions and training, supporting operational and field service teams, and sharing good practice across the wider Group.

What you should be good at

  • Applying practical knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements within an ISO-certified manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Holding a recognised NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualification, or demonstrating the ability and commitment to achieve an appropriate qualification.
  • Planning and prioritising a varied international workload while maintaining accurate documentation, certificates, audit records and performance reporting.
  • Communicating clearly and building effective working relationships with operational teams, customers, suppliers, auditors, certification bodies and senior leaders.
  • Using structured problem-solving, risk-assessment and continuous-improvement techniques to turn findings into practical and sustainable actions.
