Data Protection Information for Applicants

Dear Applicants,

We are pleased that you are interested in becoming part of the HOERBIGER team. Data protection and transparency in handling your personal data are very important to us. Therefore, we would like to provide you with detailed information about how your data is processed during the application process.

1.    Data Controller
The data controller responsible for processing your data is HOERBIGER Wien GmbH.

2.    Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
Your data is processed for the purpose of conducting the application process. The processing is based on Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). For inclusion in the talent pool, the use of cookies, and potentially making your application available beyond the specific application process, the processing is based on your consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

3.    Transfer to Other HOERBIGER Companies and Inclusion in the Talent Pool
Your application documents are forwarded according to the visibility settings you defined when creating your profile.
You can choose whether your profile is visible globally, only within your country/region, or solely to recruiters responsible for the positions to which you have specifically applied.
We recommend enabling at least regional visibility so that you can be discovered in our company-wide talent pool and considered for suitable positions within the HOERBIGER Group.
You can adjust your visibility settings at any time in your profile.

4.    International Data Transfer
HOERBIGER is a global company. Therefore, it is possible that employees from countries outside the EU may access your applicant data as part of the selection process. In such cases, we ensure that an appropriate level of data protection is maintained in accordance with the GDPR.

5.    Use of Cookies
We use cookies in certain areas of our application tool, for example, to optimize the design of the website. This helps to facilitate navigation and enhance the user-friendliness of the website. Cookies are small files stored on a visitor's hard drive, allowing information to be retained for a certain period and enabling the identification of the visitor's computer. Non-essential cookies are only used after obtaining your explicit consent, which you can revoke at any time.

The following cookies are used for the purposes described:
• SAP Cookies: These are session cookies that are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These cookies are technically necessary and are applied automatically. For more details on the cookies used, please refer to the Cookie Consent Manager in the footer of the career site.

• YouTube: We use YouTube, a Google service, to display video content. YouTube also uses cookies to gather information about visitors to its website, for example, to compile video statistics, prevent fraud, and enhance user-friendliness. Accessing a video typically triggers a connection to the Google DoubleClick network. Starting the video may trigger additional data processing, especially if you are already logged into YouTube. We do not have control over this.
YouTube cookies are only used after your consent through the Cookie Consent Management system. Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in our Cookie Consent Manager in the footer of the career site.

6.    Data Retention Period
Your data will be stored for the duration of the application process and an additional 6 months (7 months in Austria), after which it will be anonymized for the position you applied for. In the case of a successful application, your data will continue to be processed as part of your employment. If there is no activity in your profile for 6 months (7 months in Austria) (e.g., through login), it will be fully deleted unless you are involved in an active application process.

7.    Your Rights
You have the right to request information about your stored personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to request the restriction of processing or the transfer of your data. Additionally, you have the right to object to the processing of your data. You can also adjust the visibility settings of your profile at any time.

8.    Withdrawal of Consent
You can withdraw or restrict your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time without providing reasons, in your profile under the "Data Protection" section. The legality of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected. You may also delete your profile independently under "Options, Settings."

9.    Right to Complain
If you believe that your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to contact the relevant data protection authority.

10.    Contact
For questions regarding the processing of your data or exercising your rights, please contact: dataprivacy@hoerbiger.com or datenschutz-wien@hoerbiger.com.
