Field Service Supervisor, Perth Branch

Your Mission

Lead and coordinate HOERBIGER’s field service activities, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of industrial compressors, gas engines and associated rotating equipment. You will build field capability, strengthen customer relationships and help deliver reliable service outcomes that support the continued growth of the Australian business.

  • Work location is Perth
  • Lead and support qualified tradespeople and service technicians across jobs, sites or shifts.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance, overhaul, installation and commissioning work for compressors, gas engines, rotating machinery and associated equipment.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure activities meet company, customer, environmental, quality and ISO requirements.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, guide fault-finding activities and support practical problem solving in the field.
  • Maintain accurate and timely service records, technical data and reports on work completed.
  • Coordinate multiple service jobs and priorities while managing resources, schedules, deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service and Engineering teams to deliver responsive and commercially sound solutions.
  • Build trusted customer relationships, identify service opportunities and support the retention and growth of existing business.
  • Coach and develop team capability through on-the-job guidance and internal or external training.
  • Keep current with relevant products, technologies, Australian standards and industry requirements.

What you should be good at

  • A recognized trade qualification in Fitting and Machining, Mechanical Engineering Trades or an equivalent discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial compressors, gas engines or associated rotating equipment, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Energy or Industrial sectors.
  • Supervisory or team-lead experience in field service, maintenance or equipment overhaul environments.
  • Experience with Ariel compressors and Waukesha gas engines will be highly regarded.
  • Strong planning and coordination capability, with the ability to manage several jobs and priorities concurrently.
  • Sound fault-finding, analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills across technicians, customers and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and a strong commitment to quality and safe working practices.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically, including occasional work at remote customer facilities.
  • A valid Australian driving license, MUST have right to work in Australia
