Direct Markets Sales Manager

Your Mission

Drive Direct Market Sales to expand our customer base and grow revenue through direct engagement. Focus on building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions. Success will be measured by achieving sales targets, increasing market share and contributing to the company’s overall growth. 

How you will make a difference

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with channel partners, direct customers, serving as the main point of contact and addressing any issues.
  • Work with partners to create and implement joint business development plans, including sales forecasts, marketing initiatives, customers visits, and strategic milestones.
  • Engage customers with a consultative, solution-selling approach addressing technical requirements, upgrades, and value-added services.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and site visits alongside engineering or service teams when needed.
  • Monitor and analyse partner performance against scorecard, providing regular reports and feedback, and implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Coordinate training of partners on the company’s products, services, and sales processes to ensure they are equipped to sell effectively.
  • Oversee partner agreements, contracts, and incentive programs to ensure compliance and optimize performance.
  • Identify, recruit and onboard new partners that align with the company’s strategic objectives and sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align sales and channel partner efforts.
  • Develop digital platform concept (CRM) for managing, optimising and automating activities related to channel partners.

What you should be good at

Desired Training and Education

  • Diploma/ Graduate Degree in any Engineering discipline from a reputed Institute/ University
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in Sales functions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Desired knowledge/skills

  • Hunter mentality, ability to develop new business opportunities, products, markets. Analytical mindset with data driven decision making skills.
  • Strong understanding of B2B industrial sales and distribution management. Proven track record in Indonesia and Vietnam is a strong plus.
  • Spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting, budget control and market analysis.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools (eg Sales force, SAP)
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of incoterms and contractual frameworks
  • Ability to manage compliance, quality control and service contracts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-cultural collaboration abilities. 

Desired professional experience

  • Proven track record of managing distributor sales and achieving budget targets.
  • Experience and track record in industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial and Technical Gases, Fertilizer Plants, Natural Gas, Pet Bottling.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives (sales, service, marketing)
  • Background in working with regional or international distributor networks.
  • Experience organizing training, exhibitions, or customer events.
  • Analytical and data driven mindset to track performance and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
