Your Mission
HOERBIGER Service Inc. (HSI) is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to develop and grow our customer base across the Marcellus Shale Region, covering Western PA, Eastern OH, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Northern Tennessee. Based from a home office in the Pittsburgh Metro Area or Panhandle of West Virginia, this role is focused on maintaining and expanding relationships with key customers, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring HOERBIGER’s technologies and services deliver high value to our clients.
How you will make a difference
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory to build and strengthen client relationships.
- Manage existing accounts, ensuring consistent service, customer satisfaction, and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Leverage existing sales and pursue new account development through cold calling, client visits, and technical presentations.
- Apply HOERBIGER technology and solutions to customer operations, identifying opportunities for upgrades, repairs, and emissions-reduction initiatives.
- Manage the sales process through Salesforce, including visit reporting, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking.
- Collaborate with Service Centers, Engineering, and Product Managers to ensure technical credibility and effective team selling.
- Drive annual business growth (target ~15%) through a balanced mix of natural gas, process gas, industrial air, and specialty accounts.
What you should be good at
- Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in API/NG or related markets.
- Strong knowledge of reciprocating compression systems and industrial equipment.
- Proven track record in business development and key account growth.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience (military service considered).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a willingness to travel up to 85%.
- Ability to manage company resources responsibly, including vehicle, expenses, and reporting requirements.
