As the Head – Service, your mission is to lead all service operations with excellence, ensuring reliable, high-quality service delivery for reciprocating compressors and related systems. You will drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business growth by combining strong technical expertise with effective team leadership and strategic decision-making.

  • By developing strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities that support growth in the service segment.
  • By ensuring timely and efficient execution of overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting activities, minimizing downtime for customers.
  • By maintaining high service quality standards through active supervision, resource planning, and continuous improvement.
  • By leading and motivating field service, shop floor, and O&M teams to deliver consistent and reliable results.
  • By managing proposals, billing, and payment follow-ups to support financial performance and service profitability.
  • By coordinating seamlessly with internal departments, contractors, and customers to ensure smooth job execution and business continuity.

What you should be good at

What You Should Be Good At

  • Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of reciprocating compressors, overhaul procedures, and refinery/petrochemical service requirements.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ability to understand customer needs, resolve issues, and build long-term partnerships.
  • Team Leadership: Managing, motivating, and deploying service teams effectively across multiple jobs and locations.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting breakdowns, diagnosing failures, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Business & Commercial Skills: Preparing service proposals, managing billing cycles, and ensuring timely payment collection.
  • Communication: Clear and professional communication with customers, internal teams, and contractors to avoid conflicts and ensure alignment.
  • Planning & Coordination: Strong organizational skills to manage manpower, schedules, job priorities, and monthly reporting (MIS, forecasting).
  • Decision-Making: Ability to resolve disputes, manage operational challenges, and ensure service commitments are met.
