Your Mission
At Diamond-Roltran, we are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will independently build complex electromechanical assemblies, perform inspection and testing to support production quality, complete documentation and ensure on-time delivery.
How you will make a difference
- Perform assembly, testing, and recording data to specification using appropriate work instructions, drawing definitions, and test procedures.
- Help Create, maintain, and document production-floor procedures, including data collection/storage and test and assembly processes.
- Assist in defining and applying pass/fail criteria for units prior to shipment; ensure required documentation is complete.
- Use electronic test equipment (e.g., network analyzer) to verify performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform soldering as required; follow safety and workmanship standards.
- Operate hand, power, and precision measuring tools (e.g., vernier calipers, height gauge, microscope, torque meter, torque wrench).
- Compile and summarize production and test data as needed.
- Coordinate or arrange mechanical/electrical modifications and rework when required.
- Partner with Engineering on prototype builds and feedback; request/design-change inputs when appropriate.
What you should be good at
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in mechanical/electromechanical assembly.
- Electronics test certification or equivalent training/experience.
- J-STD-001 Certified preferred
- Strong manual dexterity and fine-motor skills; visual acuity sufficient to perform detailed work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Working knowledge of in-process assembly procedures and quality requirements.
- Experience using RF/electronic test equipment; network analyzer testing is preferred.
- Basic math aptitude (measurements, conversions, tolerances).
- Computer literacy for data entry, documentation, and basic reporting.
- High attention to detail; ability to recognize deficiencies and troubleshoot problems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
