Your Mission
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing shipping operations, ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations, and handling hazardous materials safely. This role involves preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, collaborating with various departments, performing audits, and optimizing shipping processes.
How you will make a difference
- Optimizing Shipping Processes: Identifying inefficiencies in shipping operations and implementing process improvements to reduce costs and delivery times.
- Streamlining documentation: Labeling procedures to prevent shipment errors and delays.
- Utilizing data analytics and ERP systems: Enhance tracking and logistics coordination.
- Enhancing Collaboration & Communication Acting as a key liaison between shipping, logistics, and other departments to improve workflow
- Contributing to Business Success: Helping the company maintain a strong reputation by ensuring timely and compliant deliveries.
What you should be good at
- Minimum five years’ experience in shipping, packing, and preparing accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of hazardous material shipping regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate Proficiency in software programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, and SAP ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle challenging logistics situations and multitask under tight deadlines.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and ATF background check.
