Your Mission
Lead and develop HOERBIGER’s engineering function across Australia, advancing engineering excellence, consistent standards and practical innovation. You will connect global strategy with regional execution, strengthen local capability and help deliver high-quality solutions for customers in rotating equipment, with a focus on reciprocating gas engines and compressors.

How you will make a difference
- Lead the engineering function supporting rotating equipment, particularly reciprocating gas engines and compressors.
- Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, accurate and commercially sound engineering solutions.
- Partner closely with Sales, Field Service, Engineering and Supply Chain to improve alignment and execution.
- Review project scopes and technical specifications, and support the preparation of engineering data sheets, requisitions and technical evaluations.
- Develop and improve procedures for rebuilding gas engines and associated components.
- Coordinate multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality, safety, environmental and ISO requirements.
- Keep current with relevant products, technologies, Australian standards and industry requirements.
What you should be good at
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated experience with rotating equipment, ideally reciprocating gas engines and compressor systems.
- OEM training or hands-on knowledge of equipment such as Ariel compressors and Waukesha, Caterpillar or Jenbacher gas engines will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical capability to interpret customer requirements and develop accurate, customized technical solutions.
- Experience planning and delivering several projects concurrently, with sound attention to detail and deadlines.
- Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills across customers and cross-functional teams.
