Heavy Assembly Operator (2nd Shift)

Your Mission

As a Heavy Assembly Operator (2nd shift 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm), your mission is to expertly assemble, clean, test, and organize valve systems and components within the heavy and special assembly departments. You are responsible for oil-free and oxygen-clean procedures, heat treatments, and hydrotesting to ensure safety and reliability. You also manage fixtures, tools, and parts so everything operates smoothly and efficiently.

How you will make a difference

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot valve and eVCP components to ensure performance and safety.
  • Perform specialized processes like oil-free cleaning, oxygen cleaning, heat treatment, and hydrotesting.
  • Follow work instructions meticulously to maintain high quality standards.
  • Maintain an organized workspace with clearly stored tools and components.
  • Train team members to enhance departmental skill and readiness.
  • Collaborate across departments to help meet customer demands and adapt to shifting priorities. 

What you should be good at

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience operating an overhead gantry crane is a plus.
  • Experience operating a forklift is a plus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, hear, speak, view processes and surrounding environment, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
