Your Mission

HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Purchaser to join our team in Pompano Beach, FL.   HCA is an industry leading manufacturer of high-tech precision compressor valves and components used across the energy industry.
 
The Purchaser is a strategic role, responsible to contain material costs within the budget and meet other Key Process Indicators (KPI) requirements such as Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO); to develop and execute benchmark sourcing strategies that support business needs (such as on time delivery, quality, competitive price); and to ensure dual source strategies for key materials in support of risk management.

How you will make a difference

• Ensure stable supply/price strategy for critical materials (Steel, Polymers, Springs, Bushings).  
• Review and develop new sourcing strategies for key components.
• Expand the benchmark of quote requests to optimize potential cost savings, improved delivery, and excellent quality. 
• Expand contract management with suppliers, including service, freight, and quantity contracts.
• Provide forecasts to Strategic Suppliers. Manage and resolve short term bottlenecks at suppliers in support of production procurement. 
• Maintain purchasing master data (Material Master, Information Record, Source List) in SAP. 

What you should be good at

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or business administration plus five years’ experience in purchasing (preferably in a manufacturing environment) or equivalent experience of 10 years.
• Minimum two years’ experience working daily with SAP ERP software.
• Skills & Abilities – Negotiation, Prioritizing, Flexibility and Adaptability.
• Requires excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
• Professional Certification - CSCP and or CPIM preferred.
