Your Mission

As a Team Leader - 3rd Shift (10:00 pm - 6:00 am) you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing floor. You will lead and guide a team of manufacturing personnel, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Additionally, you play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations.

How you will make a difference

  • Manufacturing Problem Resolution: Efficiently identifying and resolving operational issues to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth operations.
  • Process Monitoring: Closely monitoring production processes and making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and output.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Ensuring strict compliance with working methods and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implementing ongoing improvement initiatives to keep processes and procedures effective and up to date.
  • Quality Control: Enforcing stringent quality control standards to ensure products meet specifications and uphold the company’s reputation for quality.
  • Staffing Requirements: Conducting performance reviews and promptly addressing disciplinary issues to support accountability and growth. Providing training and support will help team members enhance their skills and confidence. Additionally, focusing on safety standards will create a secure workplace and protect everyone's well-being.

What you should be good at

Educational and Professional Background: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Have experience in in 5s, lean manufacturing, six sigma, or similar methodologies, which are crucial for optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Being skilled in using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers, or having a willingness to learn how to use them. This is important for maintaining quality control. 
  • Having the ability to read and understand blueprints, which is vital for overseeing production tasks and ensuring they meet design specifications.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and guide teams. Experience in a leadership role or extensive experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential.

Language Skills:

  • English Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in presenting information to both small and large groups.
  • Ability to create and manage written documentation, including recording and supplying information.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Understand arithmetic, like adding and subtracting decimals. You should be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately. You also need to be proficient in both English and Metric units, including conversions between them.

Computer Skills:

  • Possess excellent computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
