We are searching for a Compressor expert! As a Regional Compressor Repair Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in analyzing component failure, optimizing repair processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and driving improvements to ensure the reliability and performance of reciprocating compressors.
This position evaluates large industrial reciprocating compressors in the oil/gas industry. Position is based in Port Allen, LA and involves 20-30% travel to our other North America Compressor Repair Service Centers or customer sites.

How you will make a difference
- Collaborate with repair/service center team to provide detailed repair specifications and ensure best-in-class component service.
- Analyze returned compressor components to identify failure trends and recommend improvements.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and repair Master Data for critical reciprocating compressor parts.
- Lead proactive technical resolutions, ensuring all stakeholders are informed, aligned and empowered to succeed.
- Contribute to engineering process enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives
What you should be good at
- In-depth knowledge of reciprocating compressor components (valves, pistons, rods, cylinders, crossheads, crankshafts)
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in the compression or rotating equipment industry
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
- Analytical mindset; ability to solve complex problems using data and practical insight
- Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and utilize precision tools for measurement and analysis
- Strong technical writing and communication skills to create clear reports, repair specs and presentations
