How you will make a difference
As a Software tester, you will be responsible for:

Test Case Development: Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive test cases and test data to ensure thorough coverage of application functionalities.

Execution of Test Plans: Support the preparation and execution of test plans during release cycles, ensuring software meets quality standards.

Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing for both Windows-based and web-based applications, identifying defects and ensuring timely resolution.

Defect Management: Log defects meticulously, track them through retesting phases, and ensure prompt closure to maintain project timelines.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members to understand testing methodologies and processes, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.

Documentation: Contribute to the documentation of QA processes and maintain reports for internal use, ensuring transparency and accountability.

What you should be good at
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; candidates with BE, MSc, or MCA are preferred. ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Testing Knowledge: Basic understanding of functional and non-functional testing requirements for web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with SDLC: Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and core testing principles.
- Manual Testing Skills: Proficient in manual testing practices with the ability to document test cases effectively.
- Automation Exposure: Experience with automation tools in a real-world setting is advantageous.
- API Testing Skills: Basic hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Communication & Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Growth Mindset: A positive attitude towards learning and developing expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks.
- Dependability: A reliable work ethic with a good attendance record.
